A message about “caring”
This is community Gold.
Staying positive in a world that seems out of control is not easy for anyone who truly values life and caring for humanity around the world.
Nowhere is this less evident to close to home, than in our Hospitals here in Australia - having spent quite some weeks here over the past few months, I am awed by the level of dedication of all staff and the inter-connected level of coordinated planning that keeps patients safe.
But tonight I also want us to give some thought to many quiet achievers who more-often work under much more difficult conditions here and around the world.
I refer to those dedicated to caring for our so-often injured wildlife. Rescurer and Volunteers, often self-funded and under-resourced while so often tirelessly working alone at all hours to save another precious little life. Just pure dedication.
There are thousands of such carers often supported by local Vets, working with so many different kinds of wildlife.
Tonight though, I’ve pulled a few of my pics and a video focused just on our unique Aussie Kangaroo and Wallaby.
Animals can be injured by vehicles, caught in fences, stranded by floods, bogged in muddy waterholes or dying a slow, thirsty death - unless someone sees them, rescues them and cares for them.

If you are a young person who may inspired to become a wildlife Rescuer or Carer, I encourage you to follow that passion through and just explore where it takes you. Indeed, you may well water that “seed within you” - something that gives you a deep sense of purpose and personal reward.
It is easy for many of us to bury our head in the sand and lose ourselves in beautiful stories and pictures. Yes, we need to do some of that, but we also need to face the reality of the time in which we live and seek to change what we can in our own lives, in and for our community.
Not everything I write is always perceived as being “positive” - but, if you “read between the lines” you will see that I always try follow “reality” with a positive way forward.
The following expresses my purpose behind Community Gold, so please, let’s all be prepared to seek the “balance” while holding on to a “Spirit of Light” and benefit from the “Cycle of Learning.”
